Yee-Haw to the Stinkin' Farmer!

YEE-HAW lil' Miss Charlie Grace!

Yee-haw! was the theme of Charlie's 6th birthday party! Our little stinkin farmer planned her theme but little did she know that we planned a week early in order to surprise her! Boy, was it hard to keep the surprise... Ha, who am I foolin'? It was a breeze pulling off the surprise. Seriously... you should know... 6 year olds believe just about ANYTHING you tell them!

Momma's favorite part... the decorating!

Planning for dessert... boot mugs for our Stinkin' Farmer Saloon specialty: Rootbeer Floats

Party bags with some southern charm...

Lots of hay bails were so fun in all kinds of little sneaky places (and gave Steve serious anxiety about the mess they made!)

Charlie's only request for the party decor: She wanted a saloon... a Stinkin' Farmer Saloon to be exact!

The saloon is open and ready for business!

We decorated the mantel with a baby picture of Charlie to remember those days long ago (well... just 6 years ago but I can't believe how the time flies)

Get yer grub cowboys and cowgirls!

Shhhh.... waiting for the birthday girl to arrive for her surprise!

Shhhh... here she comes everyone! I even had to warn the kids that Charlie likes to stick her head through the mail slot and yell, "hey dudes!" I didn't want them to make any noises when she pulled that prank.

Luckily, nobody flinched... and we pulled off a great surprise.

She was shocked...

and even cried...

Such the social butterfly... without any prompting... she graciously went around and hugged all her friends and thanked them for coming. That moment might have made mommy and daddy the most proud of all.

First job... get'er upstairs for a costume change! Gotta get in the appropriate gear for a hoedown!

A huge thanks to the Houghtons and Nonna and Grandpa for coming down
for the party! We sure appreciate the y'all makin' the journey for the Stinkin' Farmer's birthday!
While the grown ups did their "grown up thing"... the kids headed outside for some cowboy hoedown fun! don't forget to take your picture with the horsey!

Apparently all skilled cowboys can climb trees...

This is one of Charlie's buddies named Style. Our little wanna-be-tomboy was so thrilled to have her first boy/girl party!

Charlie's river buddy... Brandon came too.

Party games were a hit... yee-haw!!

The Freeze Dance Competition

(and yes, if you hadn't noticed... Charlie was already in outfit change #2. The other one was apparently "too pink and girlie")

The winner of the freeze dance competition.... Little Chuckie!

Line Dancing Lessons with Erika

(Ahhh... I see the second grade girls in the foreground are TOO cool for line dancing with the 6 year olds...LOL)

Stinkin' Farmer Saloon Time...

Make a wish Charlie!

Charlie's buddy Chas was all decked out for the party!

Charlie and her new kindergarten friend, Ava.

After most of the kindergarten friends left... the real party-goers hung around for at least a few more "final-finals" as we like to call them!

We were so thrilled that the Kudron clan could join the party. Cousin Katie had a late soccer game that conflicted with the party time but they hustled to come afterward. Thank you guys so much for making the trek!

One of Char's fave presents... the famous "Jackson Fidora" named after her river buddy, Jackson Castillo

Charlie and her river buddies, Jackson and Brandon. Look at that grin on her... have you ever seen her happier???

She hasn't seen these guys since August and it's like a moment hasn't passed!

A big happy birthday to the Stinkin' Farmer... we hope you had a stompin good time~
