Go Beach!!

It's official... we are definitely a soccer family now!  Ryan had her first "away" tournament with her new soccer team.  The team has been practicing together since the spring but this was their first official time playing in a game situation.  Ryan was so proud to be wearing the "BEACH" uniform!  Can you believe it?  Daddy even let  us write on the car!!  "Go Beach!"
Off to the first of 5 games for the weekend!
San Diego is a very big venue... the games spanned all over the county.  Our Saturday games were actually just a few minutes from Jeff and Julie's new house!  My bestie from college, Jenn Fletcher, also lives nearby and came to the game.  Ryan had a whole entourage of fans!
Beach wins 6-0
We had a few hours in between games so we headed over to Jeff and Julie's new house to see the new digs and hang out with little pumpkin Annie.
Annie loved her auntie Lori, uncle Steve, and cousins Ryan and Charlie! She let us hold her and cuddle her and love on her so much!

Lots of love for Annie and LOVING the new house!!!  So amazing!

We got Annie her first soccer ball :-)

Charlie was the baby photographer.  Good job Char-Char

Gigi and Papa drove down for the afternoon game!  Ryan loved having so many fans!
Beach wins 6-0 again!  Go Beach!
First place in tournament at the end of Day 1

Little sisters make great cheerleaders!

Day #2
I didn't get any pictures from the first game of the day.  I guess because it was such a nail biter, I forgot to take pictures.  The game was in LaJolla so we went to breakfast with some friends at the Lodge in La Jolla.  So yummy.
Beach wins 3-1

However, the afternoon game was back out in Scripps Ranch at Cathedral Catholic High School.  Look at this venue!!!  So amazing.  Jenn Fletcher came back again to cheer us on.  Ryan scored her first goal of the tournament within the first minute of the game.  Mommy, Daddy, and Charlie ALL missed it by being in the bathroom.  Ugh!  Good thing she scored another beauty later in the game.
Beach wins Semi-Finals 6-0
 Post Game coaches talk!

Nice win girls!

This picture doesn't do it justice... but do you know how hard it is to make dinner reservations for a WHOLE team?? Whoosh... but we did it!  Famous Phil's BBQ for dinner.

Monday morning - Game #5
GU9 Finals!
Beach Futbol Club vs. Albion Futbol Club (the host club)

Beach loses 2-1

Ahh man... we almost had it!

Jeff came from work (only a few minutes away) to catch the came!  It was such a good game!
Ryan played great.

Second place gets a medal!  Ryan LOVES those medals!
Congrats on a great showing to your very first tournament together ladies!

Introducing... Beach Futbol Club GU9

Ryan's proud moment... Uncle Jeff got Ryan a signed picture from a Women's World Cup player from the Mexico team.  Her teammates thought it was so cool!

Here's our girl!
2 goals and 2 assists in her first tournament.
We are very proud of you Ya-Ya!

The BEST holiday of the year!

4th of July really threw us for a loop this year... that darn Wednesday holiday messed up all our plans.  But hey... we weren't going to let that spoil our fun.  We decided to have a few friends over for a bbq the weekend before the 4th of July and then go to Old Ranch on the actual day!  It turned out to be perfect.

My OWN kid must be too cool to take a picture with me... so I borrowed someone else's kid!
Thanks Olivia!
 Good friends... good times.

We haven't missed spending a 4th of July with the Scott family since we met 8 years ago!
Charlie's new soccer coach this fall... Coach Ron
with wife Lisa and neighbor Janet.
More soccer and school friends!  Our kids are making our social life so fun... thanks Ryan and Charlie!
The simple backyard hangout... my favorite thing in the world.

Old Ranch

Old Ranch hosts an amazing 4th of July celebration... it was so much fun for kids and grown ups alike.  Charlie with her buddy Alexa.

The rides were too scary for mommy but all the kiddos had no problem.

No giant pirate swing for me, thanks. Just fine for the 6 year olds.

I like the seat outside of the ride better :-)

Dinnertime.

Getting ready for the big fireworks show!

The girls wanted to snuggle with their daddy during the show.  So cute.

Long night but all the kiddos are still wide awake and doing great.

Silly sisters.

One last pic of the group before off to bed!

Love, love, love 4th of July!
