Our Butterfly Birthday Girl

Our butterfly princess turned 5! I can't believe Charlie is really 5... our little princess is really 5! Can you tell I'm a little emotional about the whole thing? Two big parties in one day! Charlie was so, so excited!
A butterfly party is not complete without butterfly decorations...

The first party of the day was for Charlie's friends! 18 little girls showed up to swim and bounce! You should know that originally the party was supposed to be at SCATS, where the girls take gymnastics! But... 6 days before the party SCATS told us that they double booked us! Needless to say, we moved the party to the house and improvised. Good thing the weather was going to be nice to have a swim party!
The big first grader girls stuck together so they didn't have to hang out with the "babies!" LOL... they are so funny!

Charlie loved to be the center of attention!

Pizza party poolside!

Our little butterfly!

Some of the pre-school mommies kickin' back with a little "Steve Special" to get them through the 5 year old birthday party chaos!

Butterfly face (and arm) painting by Lori and Julie!
Julie was a lifesaver... huge help!

Blossoming butterflies with cupcakes... happy little girls for sure!

Charlie can find any venue to put on a show! Center stage... all eyes on Charlie girl!
I think Hannah enjoyed her cupcake, what do you think?

Ahhhhh....

A bounce house always helps with an improvised party plan!

The butterflies are in their "cage!"

My mom and Julie were a huge, huge help! I couldn't have pulled off this party without them! Thank you

Time to say good-bye to one party and get ready to roll in Round 2!

The rest of the family continued with the butterfly theme to help Charlie celebrate!

Lindy and Michelle... thanks so much for coming!

Gigi and me

Nancy and me

Papa and Marzie

Charlie wanted cheesecake for her birthday dessert! haha, what???? What5 year old do you know who requests cheesecake for her birthday? Haha, where did she learn about cheesecake?

Present time ... oh ya, and speech time! I wish I would have gotten a picture of Charlie's big "speech!"

Thanks for driving (and flying) from far and near to join Charlie for her big day! It means the world to us! We have the best family in the whole world!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY "BUGGA!"

Dear Charlie,
You are a pretty lucky girl to have a MOM that makes each and every party so extra special for you and for Ryan. She is so good at it and the themes just keep coming, with a new fresh twist each year. Give your MOM a big HUG & KISS for all of her efforts! And for you, Charlie girl, we were all blown away by your birthday thank you speech! If we didn’t know that you were only five, we would have thought that you were in Junior High. Wow, we are pretty sure that you have found your calling in life. But we will all hold our breath because we can’t wait to see what you make of this special talent. Love you, Nona & Grandpa
