I can't believe the school year is coming to an end so quickly! Open House at McGaugh was Thursday night before the 4 day holiday weekend! Ryan and Charlie were so very excited... it made me think of my own childhood Open House memories! It was precious to watch their excitement to see their friends "at night" and to show us their hard work!
Here is our first grader and pre-k'er!
Just kidding but read what another student wrote about Ryan...
Ryan posed at the "math wall!" Mrs. Lupescu is an amazing math teacher and Ryan has grown so much!
"Thinking Maps" displayed in the classroom make the teacher mommy in me very, very happy! Who doesn't love a good "double bubble map" to organize your thoughts??? I loved seeing that Ryan's journal is full of different thinking maps. they use these maps to organize their thoughts... to categorize, classify, compare, etc.
Ryan science project... her Puffer Fish diorama was a big hit!
Here it is up close. Hopefully we can keep it nice until Charlie gets to first grade... Haha...just kidding... that's probably cheating huh?

Ryan with one of her great friends, Riley. They both answer to "Ry-Ry!
Now off to Charlie's classroom.
After their trip to the farm, each student wrote about something they learn. I was so proud of Charlie's inventive spelling and how many sight words she knows. She is super ready for kindergarten next year.

Charlie learned some great facts about farming...
I thought it was funny to also show you what another child learned from the field trip...
Here is our quiet and reserved child posing with her friends...LOL!

(P.S. Grant is Dillon's little brother. Dillon and Ryan were in LOVE during kindergarten... and still are I think. We love these boys. We'll arrange the marriages now, no problem!)
Mrs. Hobbs has done an incredible job this year. Charlie has grown so much.
