Our little Ryan is getting so big. She will be 3 years old one week from today. We decided to give her her birthday present early so that she could get into the "tea party mood" before her big birthday tea party this weekend. So yesterday when we picked her up from school, we told her that she had a birthday surprise waiting for her when she got home. We made her cover her eyes and everything. I had already filled the teapot with "tea" and had put cookies and candies on each of our plates so that she could immediately enjoy her first real tea party. The pictures speak for themselves but they have been playing tea party ever since.
Every day is a new adventure with our little girls, Ryan and Charlie. Check in often to see what's new in our lives...

Holden's Birthday Party
On Saturday we headed south to Del Mar for Holden's first birthday party. It was a beautiful day and the girls had a great time playing with all the kids. I enjoyed catching up with old friends, hearing about all the baby stories, watching all the babies interact, and watching Holden eat his cake. He devoured that thing! Steve and I were both very impressed. Here are a few pics that I stole from Jenn's blog (I forgot my camera)! Thanks Jenn and Trey for having us. We had a great time.
Charlie trying to get Waylon to "share". It looked more like "stealing" the toy from Waylon in person.

When the Husbands are Away...
...the girls will play! Steve went to Las Vegas for a "boys" weekend. Lots of golf and gambling. Since it was just us girls all weekend, we decided to have Michelle and Carson over for a slumber party (her husband, Ryan, was with Steve too). Just 5 girls and lots of food, fun, and even a little free time for the mommies (thanks to Aubrey and Gigi). Look at how much fun Carson, Ryan, and Charlie had playing together.

Our Girls are Practicing...
... for a certain someone's upcoming tea party. I was busy working in the kitchen and not really paying attention to what the girls were doing. When I looked up, this is what I found. Ryan said she was practicing for her tea party. She said that she was in charge of making and serving the food. What do you think Charlie's job was? HaHa... the human garbage disposal of course. But we love that because it means she is all healthy again.

Singing in the Rain
Ryan must have asked us 100 times if she could go out and play in the rain and jump in the puddles. The answer over and over again was, "No!" Finally, I said to Steve, "just let her, she'll want to come back inside in like 3 minutes." So we suited her up in all her rain gear and gave her the okay. Does it look like she came in in 3 minutes? Oh no, she stayed out there for close to 30 minutes and loved every minute. We got a cute rendition of "Rain Keeps Falling on My Head" and "Mr. Sun"
